Understanding performance
Use trends, segments, and baselines to decide whether visibility work is improving outcomes.
Compare like with like
Keep the prompt set, country, language, and engine scope consistent when evaluating movement. If the measurement setup changes, annotate the change and establish a new baseline.
Investigate before attributing
A visibility increase after a published change is evidence worth investigating, not proof of causation. Open the winning answers, inspect citations, and verify whether the new evidence appears in the response.
Report the observation and action
A strong update states what changed, where it changed, the likely explanation, the evidence checked, and the next action. Avoid turning a directional metric into a traffic or revenue claim without supporting analytics.
